68 善為士者不武

老子道德經第六十八章

善為士者不武
善戰者不怒
善勝敵者不與
善用人者為之下
是謂不爭之德
是謂用人之力
是謂配天古之極

SIXTY-EIGHT

A good soldier is not violent.
A good fighter is not angry.
A good winner is not vengeful.
A good employer is humble.
This is known as the Virtue of not striving.
This is known as ability to deal with people.
This since ancient times has been known
as the ultimate unity with heaven.

A good leader does not depend on military power.
A good commander does not depend on courage.
A good victor does not fight against enemy.
A good boss acts humble.
This is the virtue of non-competition,
And the ability to manage people (as well as things).
This is the natural way.
